Srila Prabhupada's example of turning off water dripping from a neighbor's tap; helping his landlord, Mr. Chuti, take out the neighbor's trash from 26 2nd Avenue; and chastising disciples for wasting Krishna's energy, prove that care of the environment should be a priority for ISKCON devotees.

WHAT IS IT?

World Cleanup Day is a special opportunity for ISKCON members, youth, families, students, children, and devotees of all stripes to participate in an event that aligns our core values with active care for the Earth. It is an international event that gives us a chance to serve Mother Bhumi, raise environmental awareness among our members, and show that ISKCON members walk our talk.

HOW TO HELP

All that is required is for a single person, or family of two, or a few friends, or the temple youth group to spend an hour, or an afternoon, to remove trash near your temple, at a local park, roadside, or wherever the need may be--to help Cleanup the World. It can be done in conjunction with other (non-ISKCON) groups you wish to contact, or just with local ISKCON members.
